Roman Lives was written for the class teacher. Author, Dorothy Harrer tells of different men, a shorter list selected as examples of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. She also devotes most of the book to stories of various aspects of Roman life at different times, and includes stories of the Christians under Rome and the later clash between Constantine and Julian the Apostate.
